Setting up Linesbybeth

I set up Linesbybeth last May and can honestly say that without the pandemic, I definitely wouldn't be doing what I am today.

With the closing of borders last year, I returned home to Dubai just before my birthday (March 23rd) and was soon spending lockdown with my sister Martha and my parents. I've always been artsy and I spent most of the duration with a pen or paintbrush in my hand. The concept of line art has always intrigued me and I did actually attempt to set up a small t-shirt business a couple of years ago using t-shirts showcasing abstract line art faces! That never ended up going anywhere but t-shirts might be the next thing for us. My mum posted a few photos of my line art on a Dubai-based Facebook group and the response was incredible.

Fast forward to now and I have just reached the massive milestone of 800 commissions. I have an online shop selling prints all around the world and I work between Dubai and England. I can't imagine doing anything else right now and literally feel so lucky to be able to work from anywhere. I think a major part of me being able to set up our small business is the continued support and words of encouragement that I received and continue to receive today. The creative world is a daunting environment and I still struggle to comprehend the popularity of my artwork. I have big plans for Linesbybeth and can't wait to share the journey with all of you.

Thank you so much for reading this. I hope you're having a lovely day wherever you are x
